He is now 59 years old and competed in the tournament with a great zeal. Among the 30 competitors, Sharp finished in eighth Weta class single-handed. The racing happened for two days, where Sharp gave tough competition to other players and in the race, he also defeated some of the top players.  Weta class after two days of racing, where he is against a number of former top-level sailors.

Sunseeker showcases the first pictures of new 95 yacht

The Sunseeker International has unveiled the very first CGI images of the brand new 95 Yacht that is presently under construction in Dorset, United Kingdom. The luxury performance boat is all set for launch in Spring next year, emphasizing the commitment of the brand to bringing more and more new products to market in the year ahead.
The 3rd new model to be declared this summer, the 95 Yacht illustrates the newest in Sunseeker’s design as well as builds processes. After the design of its forerunner, 28 Metre Yacht, 95 Yacht blends a superyacht feel long with the pragmatic advantages of a yacht in a small size category.
The standout feature of the 95 Yacht is its main deck layout along with a special master compartment triplex form for greater flexibility as well as freedom onboard. With the grand stateroom berth on the primary deck, a forward staircase guides to a mid-level dressing place and en-suite.
The pilothouse offers much greater flexibility and it also kicks into the more expansive main deck layout. Above the deck, the flybridge is fitted with bar, plenty of seating for guests as well as an optional hot tub.
As with all the Sunseeker’s brand new wave of models, the 95 yacht is established on the classic deep V hull, allowing it to sail at up to twenty-four knots or accelerate up to 28 knots. However, that depends on the engine option.

Mini Transat getting hotter

A five mile spread divides the first epitome from the 4th in Mini Transat – Îles de Guadeloupe. In series, it is also a ceaseless fight between the 2 Ofcet boats; along with a firm lead over forty miles ahead of the 3rd one. At this speed, the first might reach Guadeloupe as soon as afternoon of 12th November.

In prototype part, it is between Axel Tréhin and Clément Bouyssou that are racing a short distance from each other on the same side. Having an opponent hot on your heels allows for assessing the trim of the sails. In any case, the racers are making fast progress to Guadeloupe and we seem to be moving towards a new record time to beat between the Canaries and the Caribbean.

Behind the 2 leaders, Frederic Denis appears to be back in control – it looks so easy for him that he could probably miss the last weekend and Rent a yacht in Croatia instead! Kept further south, he is in a great spot to get back quickly ahead of the group. Placed many hours at a lessen speed, Fred really had to puzzle out a technical trouble. All conjectures are possible, but the forty-mile vantage he had patiently been amassing faded like snow in the sun.

The 4th is none other than Méchin Ludovic, also still very much in the contention for the final win. It would be a bad turnaround for him, having been excluded of the prototypes ranking in the year 2013. More than that, a win would mean that his boat was the very first in history to have won Mini Transat 3 times.

They organized the centerboard sailing division at club with an telling roll-call of stars. Twenty four year old Dawson from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, came from Australia, the place where he got his sailing qualifications.

He has not heard of any well known alumni of the club before coming here. This was all new to him. He had no idea of the monster that he was walking into in terms of the yacht club. He found out about the job from two people he worked with in Spain who ran the centre here last year. Continue reading “Yachting: Trio serves in sailing’s new wave”
