UAE is all set to construct on its place as a top international yacht manufacturing spots as local makers expanded their operations, international makers relocate as well as the maritime industry goes with coastline developments, as per to industry experts.
The UAE currently ranks ninth in the world for superyacht manufacturing, with 15 projects under development, according to the 2015 ShowBoats International Global Order Book. International and local makers are all set to declare a slew of brand new programs for the UAE at 23rd Dubai International Boat Show that will run from 3rd to 7th March at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
It would have yachts on display worth US$ 272.2 million (i.e. Dh1 billion), as per the organizers. Dubai International Marine Club Board vice chairman Dr Khalid Al Zahed said that this years Dubai International Boat Show would reaffirm Dubais status as a leisure marine hub. As the water-based lifestyle becomes increasingly popular in Dubai, they would see this sector continue to expand and develop in the future. Dubais commitment to excellence in all the things it does would drive the marine industry to achieve new heights and bring more visitors to the city.
As per the Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries, the total maritime industry in USE is worth over US$ 61 billion, with 386 yachts above 24-m made previous year, up to 8% compared to the earlier year.
